His research focuses on metaphor use and play for second language learners of English, and on second language acquisition more broadly. David has also worked on digital education and accessibility, and inclusion in English language
Dr Jelena O’Reilly
Jelena is Lecturer in Psych in Education in the Department of Education, University of York. Her research focuses on second language development across the lifespan. Based on personal experience of mental illness, Jelena works to promote better understanding of mental health and academia through talks, blogging, and research. Professor Susan Nacey
Susan is Professor of English as a Second/Foreign Language at the Faculty of Education, University of Inland Norway. Her main research interests are metaphor and learner language, with a focus on Norwegian L2 English. She has also explored metaphor use in a range of other contexts, such as online discussions among survivors of relationship abuse, career guidance videos, and doctoral dissertation acknowledgements.
